Kaduna College of Education Lauds Lawmaker Over Dual Mandate Policy

The Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, has commended a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ali Kalot, for his role in facilitating the passage of the Dual Mandate Policy Bill for the institution.

In a letter dated February 23, 2026, signed by the Provost of the College, Dr. A. A. Aku, the management, staff and students expressed profound appreciation for the lawmaker’s legislative engagement, describing it as instrumental to the success of the policy.

According to the letter, the approval of the Dual Mandate Policy represents a historic milestone for the college and for education development in Kaduna State. The institution noted that the policy is expected to expand academic opportunities, strengthen institutional relevance and improve the quality of graduates produced by the college.

The college further stated that Hon. Kalot’s representation of the Jema’a Constituency and his commitment to advancing education in the state were clearly demonstrated through the legislative achievement.

Dr. Aku also conveyed the institution’s gratitude for the lawmaker’s vision, advocacy and steadfast support throughout the legislative process, describing his intervention as a landmark contribution to the institutional development of the college.

The college assured the lawmaker of its continued partnership and cooperation as it works toward the educational advancement of Kaduna State.
