The Wazirin Bajju, Chief Anthony Didam, has praised Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for the revival of the Christian pilgrimage, describing the move as courageous and unifying.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, Didam welcomed the safe arrival of the Kaduna State contingent of Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem, saying the development was heartwarming and symbolised a return to inclusive governance and peaceful coexistence in the state.

He noted that the resumption of the pilgrimage, which had been suspended for about 12 years, reflected the governor’s commitment to fairness, mutual respect and unity among the diverse people of Kaduna State.

Didam also commended Governor Sani for his collaboration with the Senator representing Kaduna South, Sunday Marshall Katung, and other leaders within and outside Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, saying the partnership had contributed to improved security, peace and development across the area.

The traditional title holder further expressed appreciation for the appointment of several sons and daughters of Bajju to key positions in government, as well as the commissioning of the 23-kilometre Kafanchan–Madakiya–Madauchi Road.

According to him, the appointments and infrastructure project demonstrate the administration’s commitment to inclusion and grassroots development.

He prayed for the continued success of the governor’s administration and reaffirmed the community’s support for what he described as people-centred and unifying leadership in Kaduna State.
