The Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum has disowned a rally in Kafanchan by a group claiming to represent Southern Kaduna youths and women in support of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The forum’s convener,  Comrade Edward Auta Pama described the gathering as misleading and said the organisers lacked the mandate to speak for the people of the area.

Speaking at a press conference, the group accused the organisers of exploiting the identity of Southern Kaduna to defend El-Rufai, whom it blamed for insecurity, hardship and division in the state between 2015 and 2023.
The forum declared its support for ongoing investigations by the ICPC, EFCC and DSS, insisting the agencies were acting within their constitutional responsibilities to ensure accountability and recover alleged diverted public funds.

It recalled the arrest and detention of several Southern Kaduna stakeholders during El-Rufai’s administration, including journalist Luka Binniyat, Adara elders and the late Kurama paramount ruler, and rejected claims that the former governor was being politically persecuted.

The group praised President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for what it called a new era of inclusion and development in Southern Kaduna and pledged continued loyalty to the APC, promising strong electoral support for both leaders in the 2027 elections.
