A stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Godogodo Zone of Jema’a Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Mr. Bature Joel Monday, has debunked reports alleging that the zone’s recent meeting rejected the endorsements of Senator Sunday Marshall Katung and Hon. Ali Kalat.

Mr. Monday of Gidan Waya Ward described the claim as misleading and inaccurate, noting that the issue was neither discussed nor decided at the meeting held on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

He cautioned that the spread of such misinformation could sow unnecessary discord within the party.

According to him, the meeting was convened mainly to congratulate newly elected ward and local government party executives following the recent congresses. It also urged unsuccessful aspirants to remain patient and loyal, while encouraging elected leaders to be inclusive in their leadership.

Mr. Monday further stated that the meeting acknowledged Hon. Daniel Amos as the only serving elected office holder from the zone, passed a vote of confidence in him, and pledged continued support for his tenure, including a potential second term.

He added that participants also reaffirmed their backing for the executive arm of government, endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for second terms in 2027.

Mr. Monday, who was mandated to document the resolutions of the meeting, called on media organisations to correct the earlier report to accurately reflect the proceedings, stressing that doing so would help maintain unity within the APC.
