The member representing Sanga/Jema’a Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Daniel Amos, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Zone 3.
The award was presented to the lawmaker on Saturday in recognition of his contributions to the health sector and support for nursing and midwifery development.
Speaking after receiving the award, Amos expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the association, describing the recognition as both humbling and inspiring.
He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting health education and advancing sustainable healthcare empowerment across communities in his constituency and beyond.
“Access to quality health information and services is fundamental to building a productive and resilient society,” he said, adding that the honour would further strengthen his resolve to support initiatives that improve nursing and midwifery education, healthcare delivery, and the welfare of health workers.
As part of his efforts to enhance healthcare services, the lawmaker previously donated a brand-new ambulance to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia.
Amos said the donation was aimed at improving emergency response and healthcare access within the institution and surrounding communities.
The gesture, according to stakeholders, underscores his continued commitment to strengthening the healthcare system and supporting frontline medical personnel.
