Hon. Daniel Amos, the lawmaker representing Jama’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, has paid a condolence visit to communities affected by a recent attack on the Hunters Vigilante Group office in Gidan Waya, Kaduna State, which left several vigilantes and a civilian dead.
During the visit, Amos toured Tudun Wada Kaninkon, Gidan Waya, Godogodo, and Nindem, where he met with bereaved families, youth groups, and community leaders to express his sympathies and show solidarity.
Describing the incident as tragic, the lawmaker extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and the wider community, acknowledging the pain and loss suffered.
He used the opportunity to stress the importance of enhanced community vigilance, urging residents to adopt coordinated neighborhood watch systems to support ongoing efforts by government and security agencies in addressing insecurity.
“While we mourn, we must not relent in our shared responsibility to protect our communities,” Amos said, reaffirming his commitment to advocating for increased security presence and sustained engagement with relevant authorities to prevent future occurrences.
The attack on the vigilante office has heightened concerns about security in parts of southern Kaduna, with residents calling for more proactive measures to safeguard lives and property.
Amos concluded his visit with prayers for the departed, asking that their souls rest in peace and that their families find the strength to cope with the loss.
