Engr. Seth Bakut has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency after purchasing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.
Bakut obtained the forms on Friday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, accompanied by supporters, political associates, and friends, officially signaling his entry into the contest ahead of the party primaries.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, the aspirant described his ambition as a collective movement aimed at delivering effective and people-centered representation at the National Assembly.
“Today, in the company of my friends and supporters, I officially purchased my Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms at the National Secretariat of our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to enable me contest in the primaries of our great party,” he said.
He appealed to constituents, elders, stakeholders, friends, and family members to rally behind his aspiration, stressing that his desire to serve is rooted in commitment to the people rather than personal interest.
Bakut pledged to provide accessible and inclusive leadership if elected to represent the constituency in the Green Chamber.
“I humbly beseech you to support this project. I pledge to be a fair, accessible, and people-oriented leader who will diligently represent our people when elected,” he stated.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, the ADC hopeful said success would require unity, determination, and active engagement with the grassroots.
“The task ahead of us is not an easy one, but together we can achieve it. I am simply asking for the opportunity to serve and to provide quality representation for our people,” he added.
Bakut also disclosed plans to unveil his manifesto and policy direction in the coming days, noting that his agenda would prioritize constituency development, youth empowerment, education, and inclusive governance.
He expressed confidence in his chances at the primaries and appreciated supporters for their encouragement and solidarity as the political process gathers momentum.
