A delegation of APC polling unit chairmen from across Southern Kaduna on Tuesday paid a congratulatory visit to Senator Sunday Marshall Katung following his emergence as the party’s candidate in the recent primary election.
The delegation, led by Monday Iliya, said the visit was aimed at celebrating Katung’s victory and reaffirming the loyalty and support of grassroots party structures across the zone.
Iliya described the senator’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence party members have in his leadership, performance, and commitment to the people of Southern Kaduna.
He noted that polling unit chairmen remain the backbone of the APC at the grassroots and pledged continued mobilization efforts to strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
According to him, the delegation also used the opportunity to assure Senator Katung of their unwavering support, loyalty, and commitment to the unity and progress of the APC in Southern Kaduna.
Responding, Senator Katung expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and the support shown throughout the primary process.
He described the visit as a clear demonstration of unity and solidarity among party faithful, stressing the important role polling unit leaders play in sustaining and growing the APC at the grassroots level.
Katung urged members to remain united and focused on strengthening the party ahead of future political engagements, while reiterating his commitment to quality representation and service delivery to the people of Kaduna South Senatorial District.
