The Nasiriyya Ashiru Unity Front has dismissed reports alleging that former Kaduna governorship candidate, Alhaji Isa Ashiru, has withdrawn from the 2027 Kaduna State governorship race under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement issued on Sunday, the group described the reports as false, misleading and intended to create confusion among party delegates, supporters and the general public.
The group stated unequivocally that Isa Ashiru remains fully in the race and has not stepped down for any aspirant.
According to the statement, the rumours were part of what it called “malicious propaganda” allegedly being circulated by supporters and media handlers of another aspirant, Tijjani Ahmed Kaura.
“The information is entirely false and should be disregarded. Alhaji Isa Ashiru remains committed to the contest and continues to enjoy widespread support across different sections of the party,” the group said.
The Nasiriyya Ashiru Unity Front urged party faithful and supporters to remain focused and avoid being distracted by what it described as desperate political tactics aimed at influencing the ongoing political process.
The group further reaffirmed its confidence in Ashiru’s political strength ahead of the 2027 elections, insisting that “the movement is rising.”
The clarification comes amid increasing political activities and alignments ahead of the Kaduna ADC governorship contest.
