Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Kaduna have commended the peaceful and credible conduct of the party primaries in the zone, attributing the success of the exercise to the leadership style of Governor Uba Sani and the Kaduna State APC leadership.

The commendation was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the Southern Kaduna APC Unity Parley held on Monday in Kafanchan with the theme, “United for Victory.”
The communiqué, read by Hon. Ado Dogo Audu, Senior Counsellor on Political Matters to the governor, praised Governor Sani for creating an enabling environment for peaceful, transparent and credible primary elections across Southern Kaduna.

According to the stakeholders, the governor demonstrated commitment to internal democracy by encouraging consensus arrangements in some areas while allowing democratic contests where consensus could not be reached.

“The governor’s approach reflected fairness, inclusiveness and respect for the rights of party members and aspirants,” the communiqué stated.

The stakeholders further noted that Kaduna State recorded no security breaches or petitions before the party and the Primary Elections Appeal Panel challenging the credibility of the primaries in Southern Kaduna.
They also passed a vote of confidence on the Atiku Sankey-led State Working Committee for what they described as peaceful, transparent and widely accepted primaries across the state.

The parley urged all aspirants and their supporters to place party unity above personal ambitions and work collectively toward the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections.

Participants also cautioned party members against actions and statements capable of causing division within the party or bringing the party leadership into disrepute.

Reaffirming their commitment to the party, the stakeholders pledged to mobilise massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 elections.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Kaduna State APC Chairman, Atiku Sankey, described the parley as significant, saying it sent a clear message that the party had conducted free, fair and credible primaries.
“We are fully prepared for the general elections and confident of delivering all our candidates in 2027,” Sankey said.

He also appealed to aspirants who lost during the primaries to close ranks and work for the party’s victory at the polls.

Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, represented by the Director-General of his campaign, Joseph Ciroma, described the meeting as a platform for dialogue, unity and strategic alignment ahead of the elections.
“As we approach the general elections, it is important for us to come together to align our vision, strengthen our resolve, and speak with one voice,” Ciroma stated.
