Jerry Adams has formally accepted his nomination as the running mate to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for the 2027 governorship election, expressing gratitude to the governor and the people of the state for the confidence reposed in him.

In a statement titled “Statement of Acceptance and Gratitude,” Adams said he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of goodwill, prayers, congratulatory messages, and visits that followed the announcement of his nomination.

He apologized to supporters he had not been able to respond to individually, saying every message had “reached my heart, even where it has not yet received a personal response.”
Adams described his nomination as an act of faith by Governor Uba Sani, whom he praised for his commitment to justice, equity, and inclusion since assuming office in May 2023.

“I do not take this moment lightly. I receive this nomination first as an act of faith,” he said, thanking the governor for entrusting him with the responsibility and pledging to justify the confidence placed in him.

Addressing the people of Southern Kaduna and the entire state, Adams said the nomination belonged to them as much as it belonged to him, describing it as the product of their patience, prayers, and belief in the region’s contribution to Kaduna’s development.

He also acknowledged the role of traditional rulers and religious leaders, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), for promoting peace, dialogue, and harmonious coexistence across the state.

According to him, Kaduna State’s greatest strength lies not in its differences but in the collective resolve of its people to build a united and prosperous society.

The deputy governorship candidate pledged to bring competence, integrity, unity, and humility to public service if elected.
Adams assured residents that he would work closely with Governor Uba Sani to advance peace, prosperity, inclusiveness, and equitable development across Kaduna State.
