Former Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) and nominee for the position of running mate to the Kaduna State governorship candidate, His Excellency, Comrade Jerry Adams, has hosted lawyers from Kaduna State attending the ongoing 2026 Lawyers Conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Adams to interact with members of the legal profession from Kaduna State, exchange views on issues of common interest and strengthen relationships ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adams emphasised the importance of cooperation, unity and constructive engagement among professionals and stakeholders in Kaduna State, noting that lawyers have a significant role to play in promoting good governance, justice and democratic development.
The former KADIRS chairman also sought the support and cooperation of the lawyers as the state gradually moves towards the 2027 political season.
He said the engagement was not merely political but also an opportunity to deepen professional and social relationships with members of the legal community and explore areas where their expertise could contribute to the development of Kaduna State.
The interaction, held on the sidelines of the 2026 Lawyers Conference, brought together Kaduna lawyers participating in the annual professional gathering and provided a platform for candid discussions on the state of the legal profession, governance and the political future of Kaduna.
Adams expressed appreciation to the lawyers for honouring the invitation and for their continued commitment to the advancement of the state and the country.
He further called for greater collaboration among professionals across different sectors, stressing that the development of Kaduna State requires the collective efforts of its professionals, political actors, traditional institutions, civil society and other stakeholders.
The 2026 Lawyers Conference, which is currently taking place in Port Harcourt, has attracted legal practitioners from across Nigeria for discussions on contemporary legal, professional and national issues.

The session provided an opportunity for the legal community to engage with the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate and exchange views on issues of governance, development, the rule of law and the future of Kaduna State.
